Rising East originally appeared as a print publication subtitled the Journal of East London Studies. It ran for four volumes, each of three issues. Rising East Online is an entirely new 'aca-zine' (an online magazine with an academic slant) which focuses on the Thames Gateway and seeks to be widely accessible at all levels to an audience in East London and beyond. Its issues will be added to this archive when they are no longer current. As its ancestor the web site devoted to the first Rising East is also included in this archive.
